continuing in the tradition of sharing places that i frequent in portland, but that do not (yet) offer online shopping, there is a store in my neighborhood called office. ceramic panthers and vintage microwave therapy machines mingle with “quality products for the modern worker.” the last thing i bought from office was blaine brownell’s new book transmaterial (princeton architectural press). this is an essential source book for industrial and interior designers practicing sustainable design, and a really entertaining and informative read for anyone mildly interested in recent innovations in materials technology- processes and products. dig it.
