Spring is in the air, and therefore that means people begin to idle time away at work following their fantasy baseball scores. I overheard a 10 minute conversation/investigation today regarding the best way two of my coworkers could watch the Yankees at work. When did watching TV on company time become OK? Even if it is IPTV, isn’t that rarefied no-no up there with napping and clipping your nails at your desk?
Anyway, fantasy baseball is too vast and mind-numbing for my feeble analytics, so I generally wait until the playoffs to watch… when the games actually matter. This leaves my exposure to baseball limited to what I hear in the news (Yankees opening day today) or how many Japanese baseball players I can count (currently 10 active in the majors). Speaking of fantasy… there’s only about 5 months to football season. I’m evaluating the field for next season. Do I have a problem?
