I just got back from a brief and uneventful business trip to Chapel Hill, NC today. I don’t know what I expected but it wasn’t at all like I thought. I suppose my only knowledge of North Carolina is basketball and pulled pork. One of the two didn’t disappoint. School’s out and there is no basketball.

Anyway, it’s all very green and lush and contrary to what I thought, people don’t play basketball 24/7. I didn’t get to Raleigh which I hear is the spot… but Chapel Hill has got nothing on Westwood. Chapel Hill makes Westwood look like Monaco. While quaint, containing great amounts of wonderful pulled pork, and redolent of shrubbery, NC definitely has the beige tendencies.
