Holding true to my own expectations, once the late summer addiction of fantasy football cranks up, it’s hard to bring me to the keyboard for any reason other than football news. To this day I maintain: If I spent as much time on investing as I do on football research, I’d be either retired or living on welfare. Between those two extremes, I’ll take football.
- I’m not alone in wondering why Gmail is still in beta.
- On the way home from work today, outside Cooper Union, I saw Benjamin Netanyahu in a two car convoy. I guess it could be called a couple, but would certainly not be confused w/ a cavalcade. Protesters yelled “War criminal!” as he ducked into his car. The convoy sped off from the curb, used it’s sirens to get through the light, then promptly stopped at the next light, 20 yards away from the protesters. I walked right by the passenger side door about 15 ft away (so as to avoid getting perforated by bullets), and it seemed fairly strange to be in such a hurry, then all of a sudden, stop in front of Sunrise Mart.
- Now that the summer is over, I finally got a tan. I only had to travel to California to get it.
- Everyone seems to have their own favorite at Trader Joe’s. Now that we have had an opportunity to try out their Union Square location, I have my own favorite: Frozen mango chunks @ $1.99. Oh, and the famous “two-buck-chuck” is $3 in NY taxes.
- According to Consumer Reports (via wikipedia), Trader Joe’s is ranked second only to Wegman’s. What and where is Wegman’s and how come NYC doesn’t have one?
